Child Safety System - Features & Benefits

Features of our unique Child Safety Window Barrier include:

• Adjustable fixing arms on each corner for ease of installation;
• The barrier rests on brackets fitted into angled side fixing bars;
• Top corners are fitted with child resistant keyless camlocks. Both locks have to be released in order for the barrier to be removed. It is then lifted off the brackets;
• The height of the barrier is 800mm. The infill bars are vertical to prevent a child climbing them. The spacing between the bars is a maximum of 65mm;
• The barriers are suitable for windows with a minimum width of 200mm, a maximum width of 1600mm and a minimum height of 890mm;
• Each window barrier is individually made to order to guarantee a great fit;
• The window barrier is made of steel with a white powder coating finish. Other colours are available on request;
• Detailed fitting instructions are supplied – together with instructions on its removal.

Fire Safety

Because the barrier is fitted into windows, the situation of escaping from fire had to be considered. To comply with the recommended standards set by the Fire Safety Committee, the barrier is fitted with child resistant keyless locks so it can be quickly and easily removed in an emergency. The Homeguard barrier has been approved by Fire Safety Officers.
